Thanks for your help Nick

Nick and Jacie came up this weekend to help us lay 2500 square feet of sod and haul 25 tons of 1/4 minus to the back. I didn't get many pictures... we were grateful for the help and the visit.

When I'm not helping load wheelbarrows with top soil, or 1/4 minus, or trenching or planting or laying sod or my housewifely duties...I might be in my craft room sewing nursing covers or tote bags, or quilts. A few samples...

oops

I put the same picture in twice . Here is the backyard now. We just have the new porch roof to do, the gazebo, fire pit, and vegetable garden, oh and to turn the roof of the old porch into a balcony. Should be done in a snap!

Okay Stephanie, I 'm posting a picture of your blanket. I just finished the border last night. It is being "blocked" ...pinned to my cutting table and squirted with water. Alissa and I have a box of stuff we are putting together for you and some more projects on the drawing board! So hang in there it won't be long now. Enjoy your freedom while you can. You can't put them babies back where they came from once they get here!
Meisha I'm waiting impatiently to see your new baby bedding!

This post is for Laura. I thought I would show you some things I have made. Some things I didn't think to take pictures of... I made aprons for Alissa's Montessori school and I made a nursing cover I gave Jacie. Lately I have been crocheting. So here is a pink blanket I made for Micah and Meisha's new girlie, the blessing dress I made several years ago. The pink and white blanket I didn't make for anyone in particular, just using up some extra yarn. I'm just finishing a green and brown blanket for Alissa's friend Stephanie who is having a boy in April.

Ainsley and Channing stayed with us while Nick and Jacie had an anniversary trip to Tucson. We went to the park to feed the ducks. There were mean geese that bit Donnie and me. Then we found the playground and had lots of fun.

Ainsley and Channing riding Grandma's roller coaster. Nick, Jacie and Candice tried it out too.
